The Victron RS 48V 6000VA Smart Inverter is a state-of-the-art device for off-grid photovoltaic installations that require reliable AC power. Thanks to its high frequency technology and its new design, this powerful inverter only weighs 11 kg.
In addition, it has excellent efficiency, low idle power consumption and very quiet operation. These new Victron RS series inverters can be operated with a battery voltage of 48V.
The main difference between the two Smart models is that the Smart Solar model uses a high voltage MPPT type photovoltaic regulator that can support up to 4kW of maximum solar energy.
Its design allows visualizing the operation of the inverter through the screen that shows parameters of the battery and the inverter. These parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, and Bluetooth can also be used to configure the system and change parameters with VictronConnect.

To have maximum control over the operation of the solar installation, it is highly recommended to use any of Victron's GX devices such as Color Control, Venus or Cerbo.
Through the Victron Connect app, thanks to the integrated Bluetooth communication of the RS Smart inverter, we can view its operating and configuration parameters, as well as carry out firmware updates from our smartphone.
Through the GX device we can communicate the inverter with the Victron VRM portal for remote monitoring and management, centralizing and supervising the performance of the entire system.
It also includes a screen for the inverter enclosure itself, where we can also see a lot of information about the inverter, the battery and the MPPT solar charge controller.

The Victron RS Smart can work without any problem with practically any 48V battery on the market. Its great flexibility and adaptability allows it to be configured to charge a lead battery of any technology, whether sealed or open OPzS type.
Victron regularly updates its software to ensure compatibility with the vast majority of lithium battery brands on the market.
The most common application of this type of inverter is to work in off-grid installations as an isolated inverter. The batteries are recharged with the solar panels connected to the regulator itself, which includes the inverter, or to more additional regulators in case we need additional power.
The remote input can also be configured to accept Victron's small BMS and has programmable relay, sensor, temperature and voltage connections.
