The RITAR 12V 180Ah AGM Battery is included within AGM batteries, and by its nature it is considered an AGM monoblock battery .

The RITAR 12V 180Ah AGM Battery is one of the most competitive within the RITAR battery range, it has excellent durability, is prepared to work for the most demanding purposes and is versatile and heavy.

In addition, the RITAR 12V 180Ah AGM Battery works at 12V and 180Ah.

Characteristics of the AGM Battery 12V 180Ah Ritar
- Sealed and maintenance free

  • - Low percentage of self-discharge
  • - High useful life
  • - Working temperature: -20ºC to 60ºC
  • - Great recovery capacity after a deep discharge
  • - 12V voltage on terminals.
  • - 180Ah in C10

Why is the parallel connection of the AGM 12V 180Ah Ritar Battery inadvisable?
- The charge of the AGM 12V 180Ah Ritar battery in parallel is not carried out uniformly, so when receiving an uneven charge the battery will commonly suffer to a greater or lesser extent from sulfation and stratification of the electrolyte that will last until it is irreparable with the use.

- The aforementioned processes will cause voltage differences between batteries, so the battery with a higher voltage will generate a discharge on the less charged battery in order to equalize voltages. For construction reasons, this type of battery has very low resistance plates, so these uncontrolled discharges could cause irreversible damage to the battery as a whole, since this process would repeat itself cyclically throughout its useful life until it collapsed. of the system. This happens both in AGM 12V 180Ah Ritar batteries and in any other type of AGM, GEL or open lead acid battery.

- In the most extreme cases, if a short circuit occurs as a result of a parallel connection, the battery could explode.

The batteries at the time of charging act as a resistance, that is to say, some batteries in series have an identical voltage since they behave like a single battery while some batteries in parallel or parallel series behave like an association of batteries in which There will always be small imbalances. These small imbalances will mean that not all batteries have the same resistance to charge and therefore the most charged battery, having a lower resistance, will be the first to be charged and the one with a greater resistance will be the last to be charged due to the fact that the current always look for the least resistance, the easiest path. In the same way that one battery discharges on another, this process will be repeated with each charge, and with each charge this imbalance will become greater, accentuating the initial problem.
