Thanks to its internal technology, this Kostal Piko 5.0-2 MP Plus 5kW inverter can work with high-voltage batteries if desired, thanks to the Smart Energy Meter to achieve energy autonomy, also on days with less solar radiation and the night hours.

The Kostal Piko 5.0-2 MP Plus 5kW inverter has a screen on the front that records the data and facilitates the monitoring of the installations, network interfaces and regulation integrated as standard. Monitoring is free through Kostal Solar Portal, Kostal Solar App and the internal Webserver.

The Kostal Piko MP Plus 5.0kW hybrid inverter integrates two PMP or MPPT, which means that the solar panels can be divided into two different groups and connected to the inverter, so that the inverter itself is capable of both groups working at their point efficiency at all times without deviations between the different groups affecting the overall performance of the solar installation.

This is very useful when you want to install solar panels with two different inclinations or in different locations, so that depending on the time of day one group receives more solar radiation than another.

It is an inverter that works in a voltage range between 75 and 750V. The inverter incorporates two MPPT charge regulators where each one of them has nominal power in the mode of a follower between 360 and 600V.

The batteries compatible with the Kostal Piko 5.0-2 MP Plus 5kW inverter are high voltage, specifically the compatible models are BYD HV batteries. The possibility of connecting batteries to the inverter will be operational from September 2019, as it is a functionality that is in process.

The steps to follow for the correct fixing of the Kostal Piko 5.0-2 MP Plus 5kW inverter are:

1. Fix the mounting plate (4) with 4 screws (3) on the mounting surface. The retaining plate (1) is shown facing up.

2. Place the inverter on the mounting plate.

3. Hook the locating bolts on the rear side of the inverter into the locating tabs (2) on the mounting plate.

4. Press the inverter against the mounting plate. The latching lug on the rear of the inverter latches audibly into the retaining plate (1).
