The BYD B-Box LVL Premium 15.4kWh Lithium Battery from the Chinese manufacturer BYD is a type of lithium accumulator for 48V systems, since this battery pack with a capacity of 15.4kWh works at a nominal voltage of 51.2V.

This LVL range of the new BYD Premium series replaces the previous PRO 13.8 model and incorporates a series of improvements so that we have the best performance in the accumulators of our installation. The new B-Box Premium LVL range represents an improvement of very remarkable features that the previous PRO 13.8 model did not have. Some improvements are as follows:

Remote control and service.
Automatic battery addressing.
A more compact size that even allows stacking 2 units connected in parallel.
A higher capacity range, being able to connect up to 64 systems (983kWh) in parallel.

The manufacturing technology of the BYD B-Box LVL Premium 15.4kWh Lithium Battery is Cobalt-free LiFePo (lithium ferrophosphate battery). We will have maximum security in our accumulation system, and we will also enjoy high life cycles and high power. We can work in isolated systems or connected to the network.

This 15.4kWh B-Box LVL model has the lower support, which corresponds to the BMU, or battery management system, and the accumulator itself at the top. The BYD LVL model has the following technical characteristics:

This model in the LVL Premium range has 2 modules, the one corresponding to the BMU or battery controller and the accumulator itself. Up to 64 Battery-Box LVL can be grouped in parallel to have a maximum accumulation of 983kWh.

The BYD B-Box LVL Premium 15.4kWh Lithium Battery is compatible with the leading brands of both single-phase and three-phase inverters on the market. Its nominal working voltage is 51.2V, so it is directly compatible with 48V systems. It is prepared for isolated installations and also for self-consumption connected to a network, depending on the type of inverter with which it is accompanied. Its good compatibility with Victron inverters guarantees great versatility for both isolated and hybrid self-consumption installations.

An advantage of the BYD B-Box LVL Premium 15.4kWh Lithium Battery compared to the previous model is that it allows stacking up to two B-Box LVL units thanks to its more compact size compared to the PRO model. It is one of the systems that admits a greater capacity for expansion, since even with a single module we can already have a high discharge capacity, of 250A, and to this we add its great possibilities for expansion to install up to 64 units in parallel and reach the 983kWh of accumulation.
