VICTRON Energy AGM 12V – 22Ah /C100 solar battery. Victron VRA technology batteries do not require maintenance because they are sealed.

Technical characteristics

• Battery with VRLA technology.
• VRLA stands for Valve Regulated Lead Acid, which means that the battery is sealed. 
• Gas will only escape from the safety valves in the event of an overload or component failure.
• VRLA batteries do not require any type of maintenance.

Sealed AGM battery (VRLA).

AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat. In these batteries, the electrolyte is absorbed by capillarity in a fiberglass mat located between the plates. AGM batteries are more suitable for supplying very high currents for short periods (starting) than Gel batteries.

Low self-discharge.

Thanks to the use of lead-calcium grids and high purity materials, Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for a long time without needing to be recharged. The self-discharge rate is less than 2% per month at 20°C. Self-discharge doubles for every 10°C increase in temperature. In a cool environment, Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for one year without recharging.
