The battery comes in a compact format so that it is easy to transport and install.

The Victron Energy 12V 66Ah GEL Battery is a 12V voltage battery, a sealed monobloc type because it is made up of 6 2V cells delivering a total voltage of 12V. In the lead battery family, gel is the battery technology that offers the longest lifespan as it supports a greater number of charges and discharges, with the best models reaching 1200 cycles with 60% discharges.

The cells of the Victron Energy 12V 66Ah GEL Battery are reinforced with a grid and special insulation, minimising evaporation, which is then redirected back into the battery. For this reason, when a gel battery is in use, the working position of the battery is very important, usually with the terminals at the top. Sometimes it is thought that since it is sealed and will not leak, it is indifferent how we place it, but this is not the case.

These GEL batteries do not require equalisation, so you must take into account that the battery must not exceed 14.4V in its charging process.
