Sunpad is a unique solar system. It is the most compact solar system available on the market by integrating the water tank and the solar panel.

Designed as a plug and play system, SUNPAD is quick and easy to install. Its lightweight and easy-to-handle structure is suitable for mounting on flat or sloped ceilings.

Storage Tank Features
The heart of the system is the heat storage tank that contains 150 liters of heat transfer fluid. This heat transfer fluid is a mixture of anti-corrosion liquid mixed with water. The tank also houses the precisely dimensioned heat exchanger (19 m long) that carries the actual drinking water.

Solar Collector Operation

The special solar coating on the tank surface causes the heat transfer fluid in the tank to heat up when exposed to sunlight. This means that the system produces 150 liters of heat transfer fluid during the day at temperatures up to 85 degrees Celsius.

The cold water inlet is connected to the house's cold water supply. When hot water is drawn, the cold water flows through the heat exchanger and is heated and delivered to the point of use where it will be mixed to the desired temperature.

Depending on the system temperature, up to 380 liters of hot water at 40 degrees Celsius will be available.

To maintain the temperature in the tank, it is lined with a 50 mm thick insulation of high-quality expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam.

The system produces plenty of hot water all year round, however occasionally after a few cloudy days you may need a boost from the installed backup electric heater.
